The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, is a museum complex located in the heart of Havana. Occupying two buildings near Paseo del Prado, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, is destined to Cuban art, while the Palacio del Centro Asturiano displays works from all ages and places of the world. Its coffers hold over 45.000 pieces, and include the greatest collection of Cuban art in the world, besides works from the most acknowledged European schools and important pieces of ancient art from Greece, Rome, and Egypt.
