If there’s one thing Cubans are proud of–and Cubans are proud of many things–is our sportsmen. Cuban sportsmen are among the top sportsmen of the world, and so they have been for a long time. Everybody knows Capablanca, even if you’re not a fan of chess. Capablanca was one of the best–and, if you ask a Cuban, we will tell you Capablanca was The Best. Jose Ramon Fonst was another star of his time.
